Happy New Year!
I am sure you have read that a million times already, but I just wanted to be sure that we didn’t forget to wish you as well.
I am very excited about the new year and what it will bring. I plan on adding several new products to our website that I am sure you will just love. I have taken some customer ideas along with my own and created several new caramel apple styles, stay tuned as they will be appearing here on the blog soon.
I am happy that the holiday season is now over and I can get back to work (not that I wasn’t working during the holiday season). I have many ideas and improvements to add to the website, many have come from you our valued customers. Please keep an eye on this blog as I will be posting here when I make new improvements.
The holiday season was a very busy time and being that it was my first season here at Monster Candy Apples I think it went well. There were a couple of issues with shipping and packaging that I am addressing for future orders, but all in all I think it was a great success.
Thank you all for being the best customers a merchant could ask for. If you purchased during the holiday, remember to look for your discount code inside your purchase on our thank you card that we include with each order.
Well enough of my blabbering, back to work!

Hello Everyone,
I hope all of you are doing well and preparing for the Holiday season.
There was an issue brought to my attention with our shopping cart that was giving some customers troubles with checking out. I think all issues have been resolved but in case you are having any troubles please contact us and let us know.
Also remember if you would like to place an order but don’t want to do it online you can always fax your order to us at 888-755-5598, please include your choice of shipping and your payment information. You can email us your order as well at sales@monstercandyapples.com, please do NOT email your credit card information as email is not secure. We will call you for your credit card info or you can fax it to us at the above number or you can call us to place your order as well at 877-APPLE98 -or- 718-569-6691, you may leave your order on our voice mail system in case there is no answer.
Lastly, we have been making small modifications to the website, adding products, changing shipping, etc. Please let us know if there is anything you find that doesn’t look right on the site or if there is something you think we should add or change.
We are adding a login on checkout screen, can I hear your thoughts about having to use an account to checkout instead of checking out as a guest? Currently you can just checkout without creating an account which is fine I guess, but it is much easier to purchase from us if you have an account. You can save your ship to addresses, all your billing address information is stored and you can review all your past orders and invoices. Please let me know your thoughts about this, shoud it be mandatory or should it stay the way it is now where you can use the guest checkout?
Happy Holidays and thank your for your business,

Today I was told by our credit card processor that there was a charge-back because the credit card that was charged was used without permission. I looked into it and it appeared to me that the person using it sent a gift to a family member and all looked correct. I even checked with Fedex to be sure the package arrived and sure enough it did.
First thing I did was email the customer to be sure everything was ok with the order, I asked if there was something wrong, if it wasn’t correct, if it didn’t get to the recipient on time? I received a reply very quickly that stated that everything was fine but that they weren’t sure who Black Cat Technologies was and why there was a charge on their credit card from that company.
I went on to explain that Black Cat Technologies is the parent company of Monster Candy Apples, what does a technology company have to do with Apples? Well, nothing really except that all the bank information, credit card processing, bookkeeping, etc is all done through the parent company.
You see I am a small business, I cannot afford to have multiple businesses with multiple bank accounts and multiple credit card processors. The fees for the aforementioned would be enormous, not to mention the accounting headaches.
So if you see a charge on your credit card statement that says “Black Cat Technologies” please remember that if you ordered from Monster Candy Apples this is where the charge came from.
Why Black Cat Technologies? I named the company after my cat Mandy, who just so happens to be a Black cat!
Thank you all for your understanding, I hope this has not been an inconvenience to anyone.
